Today I realized I had a certain sense of anticipation regarding the election.
I am just waiting for that eleventh hour seeprise. What it gonna be? Tear-or-izm? Osammy Bin Blammy rolled out on a stick? Wepunz o'mass distukshunt "discovered" in I-Rack? What could it be? What?
I'm on the edge of my seat. It's stainy there.
A very sad but true fact, is that I look forward to coming home every day to see if I caught anything new (and not hamstery) in my rat traps in the garage. For the third time, I have come home to find the bait gone, but nothing caught. I have moved to mousey-sized traps, which I think is the prollem. I am twisted and wrong. Soon I will have a dead mouse to put in the freezer with the hamster.
Wanna lick?
The big, fat words of eeno at October 16, 2004 06:29 PMI'm waiting for the election too. I don't think they're going to pop any magic weasels on us, though. People have been speculating about things like that happening for so long now I just don't think it'd work in any sort of controllable way. Like it or not, I think we're stuck with Bush and Kerry sniping at each other vaguely ineffectually until the election.
I'm waiting for the election because I think the election itself is going to be messy and prolonged and a huge source of name-calling and mudslinging and all the other partisan dirty tricks we've seen developed over the last 40 years. Accusations of electoral irregularites, preemptive lawsuits, name-calling, whatever it takes to sway the election. It's clear the machinery of American democracy needs an overhaul, and we're about to see why. It's going to be depressing and petty. Mmm. Great.

gogol's werdz of wizdum, deposited here on October 17, 2004 10:35 AMDo you remember the mousey garotte (or perhaps it was a rat garotte) that you made with wire and a piece of conduit? This new fascination is no surprise to me.
Some parallels might be found between devising methods of death for wee little things and the current election activities.
Forresty:
Yeah, I agree. I think htat the 11th hour thingo is unlikely, since it's been so fully discussed, but then again: they already have a good record of doing whatever the hell they want to.
Jeenr: Yep, I 'member the ratty choke machine I made. Blood galore! Wee hoo! I am a seriously flawed human bean.
Yup.
