I've been posting photos at this site for four years, and putting up something new every day for the last twenty months. This is the 1000th--and last--photograph that I'm going to display here.

I'm no longer comfortable in the format I've carved out for myself since I started, and I'm unhappy that only a few people are interested in what I've created here--though I appreciate very much those of you who have shown interest in and enthusiasm for what you've seen.

So, I'm going to shut this down and spend some time thinking about a more interesting way to present my work and ideas. I'll open a new site at a new address on January 1st. And I'm going to keep a record of my development of that new site--my progress in designing and creating the new site will be as open as I can make it, which includes sharing any code that I write.

The way I'm thinking now, the new site will be updated less frequently, but the updates will be higher quality--I'll be able to fully develop some of the ideas I've been toying with on this site. There will be more video. It's likely that there will be navigational elements and content made with Flash. There will be some way for people to respond to the images and video on the new site, but it won't be a comment form.

In the meantime, I'll occasionally put some new pictures up at my Flickr page.

A video I wrote & directed for the Quasimoto song "Come On Feet" four years ago has just been released on DVD by Stones Throw, along with a lot of the other videos they've put out over the years. Ian and I did commentary for the DVD and there's also a making-of-the-video extra that I and a few other people on the set shot. So, pick it up. All the videos are good, and the accompanying Peanut Butter Wolf mix CD is excellent.
